Stand up for Labour - Gainsborough
Stand up for Labour returns to Gainsborough at the Blues Club (North Street, Gainsborough DN21 2HU) with a fantastic line up and pie n peas*!
Promoted by Gainsborough CLP, the night is hosted by Stand up for Labour founder (and former stand-up comedian) Crispin Flintoff, the night includes:
Stand up for Labour Act of the Year Norman Lovett, well known as 'Holly' in Red Dwarf, who has also been a headlining comedian since Alternative Comedy started. Norman's deadpan delivery and comic material appears effortless, but has had audience members crying with laughter at Stand up for Labour events all over the country.
Sir Ian Bowler MP is an unlikely addition to the line up as he is a Tory politician. His act is that of a panto villain – contemptuous of the poor and people on the left. Surprisingly Sir Ian has gone down a storm at Stand up for Labour events all over the country (Corby, Preston, Leamington, Ipswich, Bristol, Upton upon Severn, Birmingham, Chiswick, Tottenham, Tooting, London Colney, Uxbridge and Hailsham).
The night also includes a raffle and liquid prizes as well as a great opportunity to catch up with friends old and new.
Tickets cost only £10 if bought before 20 February/£12 in advance and £15 on the door.
Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8pm.
