Stand up for Labour - Kingswood, 22 February 2018 (7:30pm) - Tickets sold out
A fantastic line up including top comedians and a burlesque Theresa May!
Sorry we are out of stock!
Stand up for Labour holds its first event for Kingswood Labour Party at Kingswood Entertainment and Sports Club (104 Regent Street, Bristol BS15 8HP).
The night features comedy as well as burlesque, speeches, a raffle and liquid prizes.
Performers on the night include:
Wil Hodgson, a former wrestler from 'The People's Republic of Chippenham', who has built up a cult following after a number of years on the stand-up circuit. Wil has been a hit with Stand up for Labour audiences in Liskeard, Liverpool, London, Bath, Malvern and Leamington.
Theresa May Cabaret is the creation of stand-up comedian and burlesque act Lolly Jones, whose Stand up for Labour debut is in Theresa May's constituency.
Norman Lovett is a comedy legend who started performing during the Punk era (he warmed up for 'The Clash'). His own unique style has influenced countless other comedians and has led him to many TV appearances (notably on 'Red Dwarf'). He is the Stand up for Labour Act of the Year, winning a vote of CLPs across the country.
Guest speakers on the night are Debbie Abrahams, Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and Kerry-Anne Mendoza, Editor-in-Chief of 'The Canary'.
The night is hosted by Crispin Flintoff, who set up Stand up for Labour in 2012 as he believed that political events were not inspiring or entertaining enough. He has now organised over 200 shows in England, Scotland and Wales and, in doing so, has inspired more people to get involved in politics and has raised money for the Labour Party as well.
Tickets cost £10 if bought before 1 February, £12 in advance and £15 on the door.
